Biography

Hailing from Bolzano, Remo Tomasi is not known to have competed outside of Italy. This meant his only international championship were the 1956 Winter Olympics, which were held at Lake Misurina, near Cortina. He placed far back in the field. Tomasi’s best result in a national championship was the following year, when he came 3rd overall behind Mario Gios and Guido Citterio. He remained active nationally through the late 1960s, competing in his last Italian Championships in 1965. Afterwards, he competed in Masters events through age 65. Outside of competition, Tomasi was active as a youth trainer, and for many years he was an ice hockey referee in the Italian Serie A league.
