Biography

Kirsten Clark competed at three Winter Olympics as an Alpine skier, 1998, 2002, and 2006. Clark also competed at six World Championships and won a silver medal in Super-G in 2003. She was on the US national team and competed on the World Cup circuit from 1995-2007. Clark was a speed skier and won seven US Championships, five in downhill (1998-2001, 2006), and one each in Super-G (2000) and the combination (2006). She won one World Cup and had six podium finishes in downhill, along with one bronze medal finish each in Super-G and giant slalom. Her best World Cup seasonal rank was third in downhill in the 2002/03 season. Originally from Maine, Clark honed her skiing at the Carrabassett Valley Academy at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain.
