Biography

Stacey Blumer was a freestyle aerialist who competed at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. Blumer had been the 1997 World Cup champion in aerials, but struggled in the Olympic season and finished only 20th at Nagano. She was originally not named to the USA team for Nagano, but had to petition the USOC, with the decision going to arbitration.

Blumer had over 30 top 10 World Cup finishes in her career. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in business. Her career was cut short by injuries and she was later diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, for which she worked in fundraising campaigns to help others with the disease.
