As in 1928, 1932, and 1936 there were three architectural events in the 1948 Arts Competition – Designs for Town Planning, Architectural Designs, and Further Entries. There were 55 participants from 14 nations who submitted designs. The exhibits for Town Planning and Architectural Designs were identical but were assessed separately for both categories. All possible medals were awarded as well as several honorable mentions.
