There was only one event in painting at the 1924 Paris Olympics. There were 64 works submitted from 10 nations. A full set of medals was awarded with gold going to Luxembourger Jean Jacoby. Jacoby would win another gold at 1928 Amsterdam in drawings and water colors and is uniquely the only artist to win two gold medals in the Arts Competitions.
