Jeu de berges is often called jeu parisien, to differentiate it from jeu provençal, or boules lyonnais. At Paris 1900, a single game was played in this event, over two days, between two teams from Saint-Mandé. The event was held at the Boulodrome de Saint-Mandé, in the Parc de Vincennes. Saint-Mandé is a small village of the Val-de-Marne department, in the eastern suburbs of Paris.
