There were 26 ballooning events at the 1900 Paris Exposition, which were more properly termed exhibitions. They were mixed, with both men and women participating. The events all took place starting at the Aérostation, at the Parc de Vincennes, in Paris.
This event was limited to photographs taken of the 9 September ballooning events. The photographs were judged by M. Davanne, President of the Société française de photographie, and Commandant Houdaille, secretary of that society. The event was won by Victor Louet, who was awarded a silver plaque valued at 100 francs.
