Biography

Jon Hillebrandt was an alternate goalie for the US at the 1994 Winter Olympics. He played in college at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Hillebrandt was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 10th round of the 1990 NHL Draft, but never played in the NHL. He bounced around various North American minor leagues, playing with multiple teams in a hockey career that lasted until 2000. Hillebrandt was with the Binghamton Rangers, Rochester Americans, and Louisville Panthers in the AHL (American Hockey League); the Erie Panthers, Charlotte Checkers, and Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League); the San Diego Gulls, San Antonio Dragons, and Chicago Wolves of the IHL (International Hockey League); and finished his career in the UHL (United Hockey League) with the BC Icemen and the Port Huron Border Cats.
