Biography

Fred Sabat was a heavyweight boxer who became a national champion of Kenya. Sabat only fought in three professional fights during his career winning his début fight against American Robert Hill in Philadelphia in 1975. He lost his other two pro fights including a punishing encounter against the great Zambian boxer Lottie Mwale in 1985, which saw Sabat knocked down five times. Sabat was selected to represent Kenya at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the light-heavyweight class but did not start in the tournament.
