Biography

Warren Ingersoll played soccer, hockey and baseball at St. Paul’s School and Princeton University and was involved in various students’ social activities. For some time he worked on the family railroad in Oklahoma. During World War II Ingersoll served five years in the Army and rose to the rank of major. After the war he became president of a pharmaceutical service company in Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania, and stayed in that post until his retirement in 1978. During this time he was engaged in managing several community institutions. In 1940 Ingersoll won the US Championships in rackets and as a keen golfer was later president of the American Senior Golfers Association.
