Ewa Wojtaszek began her career in sprint kayaking on the Pilica River in central Poland. Wojtaszek later represented Górnik Czechowice, where she earned a place on the Olympic team for the 1980 Moskva Games. She paired with Ewa Kamińska-Eichler in the K2-500 metres, finishing seventh in the final of the event. Throughout her career Wojtaszek represented Poland at multiple international championships and regattas, and was a mainstay at the national championships. Her husband Marek Wisła competed in the canoe doubles at the Moskva Olympics.
