Biography

Daniel Lincoln was a steeplechaser who ran at the 2004 Athina Olympics, finishing 11th in the final. Running for the University of Arkansas Lincoln won the NCAA steeplechase title in 2002 and 2003 and won the 10,000 metres in 2003. He set an American record of 8:08.82 at Roma in 2006.

After college, Lincoln attended medical school at the University of Arkansas. He did his residency at Oregon Health & Science University in internal medicine and eventually sub-specialized in critical care medicine, later practicing in the Portland, Oregon area.
