Biography

Mark Perrow was a kayaker who competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in K-1 and K-4 events. Olympic canoe racing was a bit short for him as he was primarily a marathon canoeist. He won the 1991 Duzi Canoe marathon with Anthony Wald and had numerous victories in marathon events from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. In March 2020 Perrow died when the airplane he was piloting crashed in the Umkhomazi River valley in KwaZulu-Natal. He was alone on the plane and was found dead when rescuers reached his plane.
