Bruno Masciadri started competing with Kanu-Klub Basel in the late 1930s, first winning a singles race in a junior/beginner category in 1936. He then won the national long distance singles title in 1942, and the doubles championship from 1944 to 1946 alongside clubmate Franz Reiner. Masciadri and Reiner were selected in 1948 to compete at the Olympic Games in London; the pair finished sixth in their heat in the K2 1,000 event, and did not advance to the final. Masciadri was the son of a bricklayer and worked as a pipefitter.
