Biography

František Vršovský was one of the most successful kayakers in Czechoslovakia where he won 20 national titles. Vršovský and compatriot František Říha competed in the K-2 1,000 metres race at the 1960 Roma Olympics with the pair finishing in sixth place. Vršovský also took part in the K-1 4 × 500 metres relay event at the Roma Games but the Czechoslovakian team were disqualified in the opening heat.
