Biography

Christine Keshen was the youngest member on Shannon Kleibrink’s curling rink (team) when it represented Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics, having joined as lead just prior to their victory at the 2005 Olympic trials. Prior to her Olympic appearance she had never won a provincial championship, or even appeared at a national or international one. Nevertheless she not only helped Team Kleibrink overcome a 1-3 start at the Olympic trials, but also aided them in capturing a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympic curling tournament against a field of tough teams. Despite sleeping in and missing the beginning of one of Canada’s matches, she completed the event with the best percentage of any female player that year with 81%. Following her appearance at the Games she posed nude for the 2007 and 2009 editions of Andorran curler Ana Arce’s Team Sponsorship Calendar “Fire on Ice” (2007) and “Women of Curling” (2009).
