Following a successful career as a volleyball player, Siniša Kisić became a leading sports administrator and political figure in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kisić represented the Yugoslavia national volleyball team in almost 100 matches, including being a member of their gold medal winning squad at the 1975 Mediterranean Games. After his playing career he worked as a commercial director before becoming a councillor in his hometown of Brčko in the 1990s, and eventually the mayor of the district. From June 2008 to September 2009, from January 2013 to December 2014, and again from March 2018 to July 2019, Kisić served as president of the National Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also served as the first President of the United Volleyball Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
