Biography

Ron Foubister was a cyclist from New Zealand who was active during the early 1930s. In 1932 Foubister had the honour of being the first cyclist to represent his nation at the Olympics when he was selected to compete at the Los Angeles Games. He participated in the road race where he finished 23rd, 10 minutes behind the winning time. One year earlier Foubister broke the hour record when he cycled almost 25 miles at the Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.
