Werner Riebenbauer was an Austrian cyclist who participated in the road race at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, finishing 44th. In 2000 at Sydney, he partnered Roland Garber on the track in the madison event and placed fifth. That same year he won his only national title, in the road race. Riebenbauer turned professional after the Sydney Olympics and rode with Team Nürnberger (2001-02) in Germany, Team Fakta (2003-05) in Denmark, and Team Volksbank Vorarlberg (2006-07) in Austria. From 2008 until his retirement in 2012, he rode with the Continental Team RC ARBÖ Resch & Frisch Gourmetfein Wels.
