Biography

Cyclist Manfred Ulbricht was a member of the East German track pursuit team eliminated in the qualifying round at the 1968 Mexico Olympics. He won the East German Madison title in 1973 with Heinz Richter. The same year he won the team pursuit title with SC Karl-Marx-Stadt. In 1970, Ulbricht won a silver medal in the team pursuit at the World Championships, losing in the final against West Germany.
