Biography

Jean Van Den Bosch was a Belgian cyclist who represented Royal Cureghem Sportief in Anderlecht during the 1920s. As a track specialist Van Den Bosch became the national champion in the sprint in 1922. Two years later he competed at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he competed on both the road and the track. He finished 10th in the individual road race, helping Belgium to win silver in the combined team event. In the velodrome he was also part of the quartet that won bronze in the 4,000 metres team pursuit. Van Den Bosch remained consistent at the national track championships, winning bronze in the sprint in both 1926 and 1927.
