It is difficult to know who was the first French woman to compete at OG. Blanche de Marcigny (born Quersonnier) and Jane Moulin both competed in the same event the same day, but impossible to know who did in first. In his book on Blanche de Marcigny, Stéphane Gachet notes that, together with the French National Olympic Academy, they decided that Blanche would be the first.

She was confused with Blanche Allart (-Molier), wife of Mr. Molier, director of the circus Molier, in which Blanche de Marcigny performed as a rider and artist, in the early 1900s.
