Biography

Herbert Sumney represented the Omaha Country Club at the 1904 Olympics. In 1907 Sumney won the Nebraska Amateur Championship. He studied medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then did post-graduate study abroad. Sumney practiced urology in Omaha for over 40 years. He was an enthusiastic big-game hunter who often went to Canada to hunt moose and caribou.
