Biography

Sayed Jaffar, also called “Jaffar Shah”, won two Olympic gold medals as a left winger in 1932 and 1936. He studied at Aitchison College and the Government College, both in Lahore. He died tragically in a hunting accident on the banks of river Ravi near Lahore in 1937. When he tried to retrieve a downed duck, he was caught in seaweed and drowned.
