Biography

Arshad Ali Chaudry won a silver medal with the Pakistani hockey team at the 1972 Olympics. He played for Pakistan from 1971-76, helping them win the 1971 World Cup in Barcelona. Chaudry also played at the 1973 World Cup, the 1974 Asian Games, and the 1975 World Cup. He did not make the 1976 Olympic team and then quit sport to work with Pakistan International Airlines, serving in London, Jeddah, Riyadh, Rawalpindi, and Lahore before retiring in 2010. He also served the Pakistan Hockey Federation on the national selection committee. Chaudry had a cousin, Akhtar Rasool (1972-76), and an uncle, Ghulam Rasool (1956-60), who also played hockey for Pakistan at the Olympics.
