Werner Hausmann played hockey for Switzerland at the 1960 Olympics, when he was almost 37 years old. He was better known in his home nation as a cyclist and won the Swiss Road Championship in 1945, and later worked as an administrator in that sport, particularly with the Tour de Suisse. He was a member of the Radfahrer Verein-Zürich for over 60 years.
