Biography

Canadian foil fencer Kathleen Hughes-Hallett was born in London, England in April 1918 and represented the Salle de Tuscan fencing school in Detroit, Michigan. Hughes-Hallett was selected to compete for Canada in the individual foil tournament at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. She won just one of her six bouts in her pool, with a victory against Sweden’s Ebba Gripenstedt.
