Biography

Marie Šedivá-Krůbová competed for the club Sokol Vršovice. She won the women’s foil individual event at the 1938 World Championships. She was Czechoslovak champion in 1934-35 and 1936-37. After World War II she worked as a fencing coach at Slavi University in Prague. The “Marie Krůbová Memorial” fencing tournament is held annually in her honor.
