Biography

Jenő Borovszki was a military officer, a pilot captain, and a competitor for Honvéd Tiszti Vívóklub. He started with foil and then switched to épée. He won five Hungarian championships in team épée (1931-35) and three team foil titles (1931-33). Borovszki became individual épée champion of Wien (Vienna) in 1933 and Hungary in 1936.

With the Hungarian épée team, Borovszki finished fourth at the 1933 European Championship. He competed at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he was a member of the épée team. Borovszki was not only an excellent fencer, but also an internationally recognized judge. In 1937, he got sepsis after a tonsillectomy, from which he died a few days later.
