Biography

Leon Shore was a graduate of the Business High School in Washington, DC, and later earned a law degree at Georgetown. He served as a lieutenant in World War I and settled in the DC area with his law practice after the war. In 1928 he went to Reno, Nevada, to help in a lawsuit about Civil War claims. From 1928 to 1940 he practiced law in Reno and was president there of the Washoe County Bar Association from 1930 to 1940. In 1940, declining health caused him to move back to Washington, DC, where he died. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Knights Templar.
