Biography

Krum Yanev began his career with local side PFC Botev Plovdiv before joining CSKA Sofia in 1950. With fellow Bulgarian great Ivan Kolev, they helped their side win eight Bulgarian league titles – 1952, and 1954-60. Yanev also played on two winning sides in the Bulgarian Cup, then known as the Soviet Army Cup, in 1954 and 1955. He ended his playing career with FC Spartak Plovdiv. In his 31 international appearances, Yanev scored four goals.
