Midfielder Hartmut Schade was a member of the East German (GDR) football team that beat Poland 3-1 at the Montréal Olympics to become the first German team to win an Olympic gold medal. He scored the goal for 1-0 in the 7th minute. From 1975-80 he played 28 international matches with the East German national team, and also three more with the Olympic team. From 1973-84 Schade played with Dynamo Dresden in 198 Oberliga matches, scoring 34 goals and helped them to win five national titles (1971, 1973, 1976-78) and also three national cups (1971, 1977, 1982).
By profession, Schade became a graduated sports teacher. He then turned to coached and helped Dresden to play the first Bundesliga season in 1991. He later worked as a real estate manager and coached Dynamo Dresden again from 1996-98. He then moved to München and coached TSV 1860 München from 1991-2001. After his daughter Aline worked with the fashion branches he became CEO of a fair society and in 2015 CEO of the Dresden Fair.
