Biography

PK Banerjee was an Indian footballer who played at the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games. He made 84 international appearances for India, scoring 65 goals. He also helped India to a victory at the 1962 Asian Games. In 2004 Banerjee was awarded the Centennial Order of Merit by FIFA. He was also awarded the Bangabibhushan Samman from the West Bengal government for his contributions to sport.
