Biography

Francesco La Rosa was a good forward but he played only two matches for the Italian national team, both at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, against United States and Hungary, but without scoring. La Rosa played in Serie A for seven consecutive seasons (1949-56) with SC Pro Patria, US Triestina, US Palermo, and ending his career with Pro Patria in the last two years. In Serie A he played 141 matches, scoring 31 goals. He died after contracting COVID-19 during the pandemic in 2020.
