Biography

Phrikias won the race in armor (hoplite) at Olympia in 508 and 504 BCE, although one of those victories may have been in 500 BCE per Moretti. He also won at the Pythian Games. Phrikias was the father of Hippokleas, who was the subject of Pindar’s Pythian Ode 10 dated to 498 BCE.
