Biography

Irén Rudas competed for the first time in 1924 as a BBTE gymnast. In 1926 Rudas won the Toldy prize with the BBTE team, which at that time was equivalent to the team championship title. In 1928 she participated in the Summer Olympic Games in Amsterdam, where as a member of the Hungarian team she finished fourth in the all-around team event (free exercise, mace exercise and low hurdle). The following year she got married and gave up competitive sports.
