Biography

Stefania Bucci made her national team début in 1974 and, internationally, her finest moments were at the 1975 Mediterranean Games where she helped Italy win the team event ahead of Spain and Yugoslavia, and she also won the horse vault and balance beam. She was the 1975 Italian champion in all-around.

After she stopped competing, Bucci and her father founded A.S.D. Ginnastica Giglio 1978 in Montevarchi (Tuscany) and helped discover many top talents. She also worked as a staff technician for the National Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Gymnastics of Italy.
