Miloslava Misáková was the sister of Eliska Misáková, who was on the Czechoslovak gymnastics team for the 1948 London Olympics, but contracted poliomyelitis while training in London, and died on the day the Olympic gymnastics competition began. Despite this tragedy, Miloslava Misáková won a gold medal with the Czechoslovak team. She later coached youth gymnastics and worked as a gymnastics judge. Before her death she was the oldest living Czechoslovak Olympic gold medalist.
