Biography

Yekaterina Kalinchuk took up gymnastics in 1936 and was on the Soviet national team from 1948-52. Kalinchuk’s only international tournament was the 1952 Olympics, where she won golds in horse vault and team all-around and silver in team portable apparatus. Domestically Kalinchuk won the Soviet title on uneven bars in 1952 and bronzes at the Soviet Championships in horse vault in 1952-54. After finishing her sporting career, Kalinchuk worked as a gymnastics coach in Moskva (Moscow).
