Biography

Guido Boni was a member of the successful Italian gymnastics team that won the team all-around at the 1912 Stockholm Games. Individually, Boni fell just outside the podium. At the World Championships in Paris the next year, Boni won two titles, in the rings (shared with three others) and in the parallel bars (shared with Giorgio Zampori). He added a bronze medal in the team competition. In honor of his sporting achievements, Boni was awarded a Gold Medal by the Italian Olympic Committee.
