Biography

Jos Zuang represented the club Société de Gymnastique from the capital’s district of Grund. He placed joint fifth at the first national trials in January 1912. After the final trials in June, he was one of 16 gymnasts selected for the Olympics. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm, the team from Luxembourg including Zuang placed fifth and last in the free system team event but missed bronze by less than one point in the European system team event. Like many gymnasts of the time, he was also active in track & field athletics, placing third in a local pole vault competition in 1909. Zuang married Elise Agnès Baumert in 1921.
