Biography

Leo Hunger competed in four events at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He competed in the individual all-around (70th); the individual all-around, apparatus work (82nd); the individual all-around, field sports (=44th); and the team all-around, apparatus work and field sports (11th). Hunger represented the Milwaukee Turnverein. Born in Minneapolis, his family moved to Milwaukee sometime between 1885-95 and he lived there for most of his life. Hunger worked as an accountant, at one time with the Federal Rubber Company, and later with Ray Statley Construction Company.
