Biography

Paul Krempel competed in gymnastics from 1916 through 1930, appearing at both the 1920 and 1928 Olympics with the US team. Krempel won AAU titles in the vault in 1919, floor exercise in 1926-27, rings in 1925-27 and 1930, and parallel bars in 1930. He studied at Los Angeles Polytechnic High School and later became an artist, working in the movie industry. He also judged gymnastics in the Southern Pacific AAU (SPAAU) district and was a member of the SPAAU Technical Committee.
