Biography

Harold Newhart competed in all seven men’s gymnastics events with the USA team at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. His best individual finish was =37th on the pommeled horse. Newhart attended the US Naval Academy, graduating in 1927. He later became a career Marine Corps officer, eventually reaching the rank of colonel. Newhart was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
