Biography

Josef Rose was on the East German handball team at the 1972 München Olympics that unfortunately lost the bronze medal match, 19-16, against Romania. In 1970 and 1974 he won silver medals at the Worlds and in all, he earned 96 international caps. Domestically, Rose played with ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt on Oder from 1969-77.
