Danish handball player Keld Andersen represented IF Stjernen in Odense where he became the top goal scorer for the club in the 1972–73 season. Andersen made his début for the national team in 1967 and later played at the World Handball Championships. He was selected as part of the Danish squad for the 1972 München Olympics where he played in five matches, scoring seven goals. His daughter Anja was part of the Danish handball team that won gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
