Biography

Ferenc Füzesi began and ended his career at Pécs Handball Club in three spells with them, 1978–82, 1985–90, and 1995–97. In between, he won the championship with Tatabánya in 1984, but from 1991-95 he played in Spain with Ponteverda. Füzesi scored 137 goals in 86 appearances for the national side between 1980–92, and was a member of the team ranked sixth at the 1990 World Championships, and seventh at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Füzesi later became a coach, and in addition to working with Pécs, had spells at Ponteverda, Pécsvárad, Komló, Orosháza, Balmazújváros and Szombathely. From the summer of 2018 he trained the Mohács women’s team.
