Biography

Jason Williams was an infielder who played college baseball at LSU, helping them win the College World Series in 1996. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 16th round of the 1996 MLB Draft. Williams signed with the Reds but never made it to the major leagues. He was a minor leaguer in a short career that lasted from 1997-2001. Williams did make it to Triple-A ball, playing with the Indianapolis Indians in 1998-99 and the Louisville RiverBats in 2000. During his career, he also played for the Burlington Bees (A 1997), the Chattanooga Lookouts (AA 1997-98), and the Baton Rouge Blue Marlins, an independent league team, in 2001.
