Biography

Penny Stone went to Florida State University, where she played on the basketball team, and earned an exercise physiology degree, graduating in 1987. She competed at two Olympics in handball (team) in 1984 and 1988. Stone also won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games and 1987 US Olympic Festival. Stone later became a firefighter and paramedic with the Seattle Fire Department. She teaches continuing education for firefighters and paramedics and runs the “Medics on Bikes” program for Medic One.
