Biography

Light-middleweight boxer Detlef Dahn from East Germany lost his first bout at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics against the eventual silver medalist Rolando Garbey from Cuba, by a close 2-3 decision. Dahn was the East German light-middleweight champion 1968 and 1969. Along with team-mate Manfred Wolke, Dahn later started a coaching career.
